William & Mary alumna Glenn Close (’74) will be lauded by the entertainment community Jan. 12, 2009 with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. 克洛斯是艾美奖、金球奖和托尼奖得主，目前在电视剧《损害赔偿》中饰演帕蒂·休斯。她还因在好莱坞电影中扮演的角色而闻名，其中包括《101 Dalmations》（1996年）、《The Stepford Wives》（2004年）和1987年的惊悚片《致命诱惑》。

While at William and Mary, Close - who majored in 戏剧 and anthropology- appeared in several university productions including "The Common Glory," "The Seagull" and "Anything Goes." Since her graduation she has supported the College through service as the honorary co-chair of the 校友会’s New York Auction. She held that post in 2004 with fellow alumnus 乔恩·斯图尔特84年.

"Stars" are added each month to the famous pathway which stretches for 21 blocks at Hollywood Boulevard and Vine St. in Hollywood, Ca.
